Fun Day of Fishing

We took my nephew Tyson and our friend Kristin out fishing on Saturday. What a day we had! The fish and wildlife people boarded us as soon as we got out there, we lost a lot of gear on the bottom, pulled up some very weird stuff, and a few fish got brought home for dinner. Unfortunately, we didn't hook in to any lingcod, which is what we wanted. But the copper rockfish are just as tasty!
Kristin had hooked into a huge sunstar over 100 feet down and we thought she was hooked up on the bottom. We think it weighed in excess of 40 pounds!
(By the way, this first picture is NOT vomit.)

What on earth is that first picture? Did someone get seasick?

I believe it is a Chiton (a giant slug-body thing with a hard shell).
