The outside of the bottle has a label on it that you can barely read because it's so faded from the salt water, but if you hold it up to the light it clearly says "Messages from the Recreation Class of 2008".
Here is what the messages said (I'll type them as they are written/spelled/punctuated):
"There is a plan for your life But you must take it. No one ever realized their path by ignoring it. Peace."
"(heart) So much Love. Recreate 4 Life!"
"So any New challange you just begun Put forth your Best, And you've already won."
"Have Faith"
"Hi! It will be fun to see where this bottle ends up. Greetings from Langara College in Vancouver. I hope this note " (I can't figure out what the rest of it says. Maybe you can help me out?)

"The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return"
"Never settle for anything else than the unexpected ADVENTURE!"
"Never give up. Persevere."
"What a weird lunch! but its been fun!"
"Whoever gets this...you probably rock...Hell, you found this bottle so you must rock. Anyway, go do something recreational then tell 5 people about how awesome it is"

"All you have in life is the ability to love. You know you feel love when you will constantly forgive. Forgive each other always."

"Dream as high as you want to, because no one will be able to take your dream"
"BEGIN WITH THE END IN MIND (smily face)"

"Here's to new beginings as our Journey comes to a close a new one begins Thanks for the Laughter and Love"

Looks like a fun school! www.langara.bc.ca Maybe you should add a note and put it back in the water! :)
As for the mystery phrase, all I can make out is:
I hope this note, fi?? you, av??, ?? or fro!
I concur with Kathy. Put in a note (with the date) in the bottle and send it back to sea. Also, make note for the future finders to do the same and see how long it goes. That's be fun!
