Guys Weekend

The weekend before Memorial Day, Jeremie, Wayne, and another friend of Wayne's went out to Sucia Island and camped for the weekend. I, in the meantime, was slaving away at home trying to make a garden area (I'll put in a separate post about this adventure).
The guys left on a Friday morning and came back Sunday afternoon. They actually ended up sleeping on the boat at the dock while a bunch of the other guys they met up with over on the Island actually pitched tents and camped.
A few of the guys went fishing (no one directly with Jeremie's group, though) and came back with some awesome fish: one is a Greenling and the other is a Lingcod. I have never seen a Greenling before so this was awesome!
They had perfect weather for the weekend, and the seas were very calm.
Sucia Island is part of the Washington State Parks system, but it can only be accessed by water. It is located 2.5 miles north of Orcas Island, and takes about an hour to get there from Bellingham Bay. There are a ton of fossils on this Island, and it is prohibited to try to take any of them or try to dig them out. It's a really cool Island.
