I remember this past winter a friend of ours (who like's starchy fingers) complained about the snow and ice . . . well it's my turn now. I HATE THE HEAT!!!!
Not only does it get me close to heat stroke almost daily, but the weather has been so humid. I hate walking outside and sweating instantly. And work is no better. It's been 90 degrees in the pressroom all week, PLUS what feels like 90% humidity! I drink over 150 ounces of water/gatorade a day and STILL can't get my pee to be clear. What the heck!
The only thing I'm grateful for now is that I married an A/C guy who always makes sure mine works in my car, AND that we have it in the house. I look forward to coming home to a cool 74 degree welcoming!
It hit 97 yesterday at our place (in the shade), and it was still 80 when I went to bed at 10 p.m. last night.
I checked the Accuweather website to see how hot it was for our friends in Denver and was shocked: the high for the day was to be 60 (I told Jeremie that and he said "We're going to Denver! Pack your bags!")

This has been a bit much even for me. It was 99.3 in my living room Wednesday night. No A/C at work or home. Driving around in my car trying to find something cool to do felt nice though. I was day dreaming about your pool the other day.
Hey, the kids and I were dreaming of your pool too. Our little blow-up kiddie pool is a bit cramped for four. It used to fit us but we keep growing. (I should really cut back on my portions.)
It's crazy, isn't it? When I talked to Anne (my last phone call to the only number I know by heart), it was 95 degrees INSIDE her apartment. That same day in Denver? Didn't get above 75 degrees and was gray and drizzly all day. Something is very wrong.
I have a cousin in Georgia, and one on vacation in Napa. Both of them said it was cooler where they are. It's just not right.
