We have agreed to help Teresa out and foster a kitten for S.P.O.T. This kitten is 6 months old and was returned to S.P.O.T. because the kitten is very scared and would hide . . . and never come out.
S.P.O.T. has lost a few of the main cat foster homes, and she cannot give this little lady the time and attention needed to pull her out of her shell.
So that's what our job is. We are to try and bring this kitten out of her hiding place so she can be adopted out again.
She didn't have a name, so Jeremie and I named her Tinsel.
We have had her for almost a week now, and we've learned a few things about her. Yes, she is very skittish and loves to hide. It wasn't until yesterday that we heard her "meow", so you can imagine how much fun we had trying to find her each time we "lost" her (by the way, we kept her in the laundry room for the first two days and kept losing her in there). And she is an escape artist. To make a long story short, she would squeeze her way through a bent wire in the crate we have her in at night and when we leave. I finally stuck a camera in the laundry room to try to figure out how she kept getting out (hopefully I'll be able to post that soon).
Tinsel is doing just fine. She and Tiki are having a blast together, chasing each other around the house and trying to sneak up on the other.

She's adorable!! I can't wait to meet her when I'm up north. : )
She's a lucky kitty to be with you two. Maybe she will be a permanent addition?
Sounds like she is a good fit. Perhaps the Fisher household will become a three cat home?
