Spring planting

I was able to get my potatoes in the ground last weekend. I'm a little worried, however, of the rest of my garden. We have squirrels that like to bury their peanuts in the garden beds, and than Maggie knocks down the fence to eat the nuts.
We have reinforced the fence (which isn't much of a fence . . . it's that black plastic stuff), but the squirrels climb over it anyway. I guess my next step is to buy some squirrel repellent and spread it around the garden. I can't plant any seeds until I know the squirrels won't be digging them up to bury their nuts!
