Camping Kitty

If you read my last post about the work party, you'll know we camped at my parents' place. We couldn't leave the new kitten, Tiki, home alone with Kasha when they don't quite get along, and we didn't want to try to find someone to stay with them to police their activities.
So we decided to take Tiki camping.
The first night was horrible. She was in our faces all night, and walking all over us. She just couldn't seem to get comfortable for more than a few minutes. And she wanted to be fed all night. She did fall asleep for almost two hours laying on my chest, but I couldn't sleep at all during that time because she purrs so loud that it vibrated my entire upper body. But Jeremie got a few hours of sleep during that time (you're welcome, honey).
The second night went way better. She calmed down more and was actually quite sweet to have in the trailer. The only problem was that it seemed like a monsoon outside during the night with the high winds and heavy rains.
All in all, I think we'd take her camping again. We even came into the trailer a couple of times to find Tiki and Maggie laying next to each other (but I didn't get a picture because Maggie would jump down too fast).

I love this story. H and I have slept in hotel rooms with two cats, and it does not make for a peaceful slumber, that's for sure. Tiki's personality comes out loud and clear in these photos!
